Again a post about the last couple of days? Yes. Why? Because I’ve been recovering. Am I that old? Apparently!
To my surprise Mc Dan was on our doorstep last Thursday to pick me up for my bachelors party. Great news! I packed and together with Edgar (Evelien’s boyfriend) we drove to his house in Delft [...]
We have been keeping ourselves busy this week. Let me give you a quick update of where we stand with the wedding.
Last week we took care of the ceremony. We aren’t getting married at a church but at city hall. We will be married by someone appointed by the government. We met with the lady [...]

Although I turned 30 today, I don’t have a job, and I’m getting married in less than two weeks, I still have a big grin on my face. Why? I’m healthy, don’t feel old, and I know the future has something great in store for us!
P.S.
The ‘there is life after 30′ party was cancelled and [...]
Yesterday we made a short little trip to Paris. Actually, we never made it to Paris just to the Charles de Gaulle airport, but that was just where we needed to be. We were there to pick up Evelien and Edgar, Lisette’s sister and her boyfriend who both live in Gabon, Africa. We hadn’t seen [...]

We all know Google is a smart company, they hire some of the smartest people in the business, and they come-up with new and exciting stuff almost every week. There are all things I’ve gotten used to, and even come to expect from Google. But today the astonished me…again!
I had a lively e-mail conversation going [...]
You’ve heard me complain about the service you get - or rather don’t get - in The Netherlands (and I’m not the only one). So let me tell you a story how it can also be done right.
Last night two guests from Spain stayed in the Logement De Craecke, the B&B owned by my in-laws [...]
Lisette’s Mom just gave her a little book titled ‘Instruction and advice for the young bride’ published in 1894 and handed down from generation to generation. This is just what Lisette needs; good advice aging back to the middle-ages. Here are some quotes:
On the negative side, there is the wedding night, during which the bride [...]
Remember that amazingly politically correct photo from the Transportation Security Administration I referred to earlier? It ends up the memorandum from the TSA executives was leaked in which the execs took it into their own capable hands to make sure they got a 110% P.C. picture depicting their TSA team. I’ve made a mash-up from [...]
