Bill’s workspace

Posted by: Remco In: web links

It’s always interesting to take a peek behind the scene. One of the things I wondered about was how someone like Bill Gates works. How does he use his computer? What cool gadgets does he have? CNN Money did an interview asking just that. It ends-up he doesn’t have computer generations ahead that responds to [...]

A usual conversation in the Remco and Lisette household:
Lisette: “Honey, do you know if we have any more ice-cream?”
Remco: “Should you really induldge? After all you have a wedding dress to fit into…”
Lisette: “Just shut-up and tell me!”
Remco: “I don’t know, check the freezer.”

Jonker sketch

Posted by: Remco In: personal| photography| web links

Remember my earlier post about Sketch-It? You can buy a sketch for $1…so I did. I asked them to sketch a picture of Jonker, Lisette’s horse. This is the result.

We like it a lot. For a sketch made in just 1 minute they did a hell of a job!

Poor man’s Mont Blanc pen

Posted by: Remco In: web links

Have you ever written with a Mont Blanc pen? They roll like nothing else, the ink pretty much dries instantly, and give you the best writing pleasure in the world. They are the Rolls Royce of pens. No wonder they are priced at about $200.
But how about a hack that will give you a Mont [...]

This too shall pass

When Abraham Lincoln was in the White House, he experienced stress, and that is an understatement if I’ve ever made one! Soldiers were getting slaughtered by the tens of thousands and Lincoln was the one sending them to their tragic deaths. He was a deeply empathetic man, so this tremendous slaughter caused him immense despair [...]

Sketch it

Posted by: Remco In: general| web links

Ever wanted a sketch of something for someone and couldn’t do it yourself? I’ve been in that situation and everytime I see someone making an awesome drawing I think: I could do that! Of course I never can…I even bought one of those pen tablets to see if that would help…it didn’t.
Thankfully I have found [...]
